The Peaks of the Balkans is a hiking trail that covers three countries, Kosovo, Montenegro and Albania. This trail attracs many tourists that are in love with hiking and want to see new places, meet new people and see different cultures. Not only that they seek the beautiful sceneries but also get to know the culture of the people that live in these majestic mountains. Undoubtedly, staying in nature is a wonderful thing, however if you would have to stay for 8 days, without a doubt, that's when the magic kicks in. We were for 8 days in the most beautiful parts of the accursed mountains together with people who later not only became friends with us but also we created a bond that we would never forget. Outdoor Kosova organized a training for future guides in the peaks of the balkans, our intructors were amazing and had professional attributes, they always kept teaching us new things. Our training instructurs were Fatos Katallozi and Mentor Bojku they both did an amazing job and en

Adventure in South Albania.

As the quote says " Salt, Air, Cool Breeze, Adventure in my Soul " Some days ago, we were drinking coffee in Prishtina and decided to go somewhere to cool off. So we planned to travel to South Albania and visit the beautiful beach of Jale. Me together with 5 friends of mine were seeking a great adventure, we kicked of together with Shpendi, Drilon, Visar, Luan and Ilir. So our fantastic adventure began!

We were escaping the huge crowd in Prishtina that was due to the Sunny Hill festival, there weren't any taxi's left, people were ready to party. And we were leaving the party wave and going to Albania with a bus during 22:00 pm. Everyone gathered and we got on the bus and we kicked off, even though it was night, the bus was very warm and we were sweating as a consequence we went to the driver and asked him to turn on the air condition. We were the night owls and we stood the whole night long awake and made fun and laughed, around 07:00 in the morning we arrived at Jale Beach. During our way at the Llogara National Park we saw a beautiful mountain called Cika peak 2044 m, this summit is one of the best mountains in Albania since it has a wonderful position. When you climb it you can see the Jon sea from the right side and from the left side you can see an endless chain of mountains.
Jale Beach

The first day we stayed in Jale Beach, we slept in tends and most of the time we spent on the beach, we were tired thanks to the long way. The water was blue as the sky, we were amazed from the view, we enjoyed every minute of it. We were really hyped from the sea however we were more kind of a hill persons, we enjoy elevations, staying the whole day under an umbrella is very boring, so we thought to do a short hiking trip. I was aware of Rinor that he arrived there a day before me, in the afternoon I met him and told him that we want to come to Gjipe bay and visit him. After a great day spent well we went to sleep and the next day, we ate breakfast and bought some water, and started our hike, we didn't know the trail but we found it.
Going to Gjipe Bay.

Thus, we had a beautiful hike, we presumed that the weather would be freaking hot but we had a breeze that cooled us almost every time. Gjipe bay is one of the most beautiful beaches in south Albania, there is a wonderful canyon which gives Gjipe a hidden beauty.

Gjipe Canyon
When we arrived at the beach I instantly knew were Rinor was, I knew his mind, I knew were he would set his tend, maybe I sensed his energy. I was walking with Drilon and said to him I know where he is, he said: Why? I just said, I just know it, after one minute I saw him staying near his tend. The first word that he said to me was: You are late! It was very funny. Shpend and Visar came right after us and we rested and took some sun cream.

Aquarium Bay.
Furthermore, we visited the amazing Aquarium bay that is just for about 15 to 20 minutes away from Jale beach. It has a wonderful trail, and a beautiful beach, were people come here to relax and camp.
That day was the best day for us because we went swimming, we swam into a cave, the waves were very big and fast. We spent the whole day there, we ate and laughed and talked about the mountains. We went and visited the Gjipe Canyon, and took some pictures, after that we went and drank some beer.
Gjipe Beach.
In this manner, the time came to leave, we called a boat, because we wanted to sail from Gjipe to Jale it costed very cheap 25 euro for one way. Thus and so, we got on the boat and we bite the dust. It was a wonderful feeling to be in the open sea, from far away we could see Gjipe bay disappearing we were getting closer to Jale beach. During that time on the boat I felt like a pirate. Maybe in another life I would have been a pirate roaming the seas.
